Also, the zucchini fries are cut in circles which I love because they are bite size and a little crispness all around.
The only thing missing is a side a Mac and cheese. I hope they add it to the menu soon

The inside has a lively vibe. Colorful, full of vintage decorations. I ordered a beignet and a café au lait with a muffaletta to go. The beignet was a little rough on the exterior, but very delicious. The powdered sugar adds a soft bite. The café was good, nothing special. I had the muffaletta later, and that was delicious!
Overall, I'd definitely come back to try their other items. We had just ate, so we really didn't get a full dining experience. Their little market felt empty, but they had some good selections of creole and cajun seasonings and pre-made roux. Their bar next door is really cool too. Highly recommend checking this place out.

The menu features a diverse selection of dishes, and I was impressed by the variety and quality. I ordered their vegetarian lasagna and a freshly squeezed juice, both of which were outstanding. The lasagna was rich, flavorful, and made with fresh ingredients, while the juice was vibrant and refreshing. It’s evident that the kitchen prioritizes quality and attention to detail.
Service was prompt and attentive without being overbearing. The staff was knowledgeable about the menu and eager to recommend popular dishes. The cleanliness of the establishment was impeccable, and safety protocols were clearly observed, which made me feel very comfortable.
Prices are reasonable, especially considering the high standard of food and service. Overall, this cafe-restaurant offers a perfect combination of delicious food, excellent service, and a cozy atmosphere. It’s a fantastic spot for a quick coffee break, a casual lunch, or even a small gathering. I will definitely return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quality dining experience.

I can’t rave about Little Jewel more, it’s more like “hidden gem”, this is where I take people from out of town to eat and everyone loves it.
Highly recommend the catfish, it was breaded to perfection. Muffuletta was baked on a delicious focaccia and paired with spicy and salty lunch meats. Bread pudding was also a standout. However, I was really underwhelmed by the jambalaya, expected it to be the best thing here but it was pretty bland and unremarkable.
Do yourself a favor and save space at the end for coffee and warm beignets.
Would definitely recommend eating here immediately if you’re in Chinatown!
